Agot Picks Up 5th Double-Double in Chargers’ Loss to Skyhawks

GALESBURG — Atem Agot (East Moline, Ill./United Township) notched his fifth double-double of the season, but the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team suffered an 81-55 setback against Sauk Valley in Arrowhead Conference action on Monday at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENT
• The Chargers (12-8, 1-2) trailed 26-23 in the first half before the Skyhawks used three 3-pointers as part of a 12-6 stretch in the final 4:05 of the opening stanza.
• Sauk Valley scored seven of the first nine in the second half to open up a double-digit lead at 45-31.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Agot led Sandburg with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting, added a team-best 11 rebounds and had two steals. It marked his first double-double since Dec. 3 and the sixth time he’s pulled down double-digit boards this season.
